Hi, I'm Laura, some of my friends call me Elle or Elle P... Since living in South Africa for over a decade, I've had numerous friends and family ask for advice on where to go... so in 2016, I started formally working in travel. I visit the majority of the properties I recommend and think a trip on safari will be one of the most memorable of your life. I also love a good spreadsheet so details are my forte.

What is my favorite property?

Hard to say just one - Babylonstoren in the Cape Winelands and andBeyond's Tengile River Lodge in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. I got engaged at Mhondoro Safari Lodge and love taking my family to Marataba Safari Lodge.

What's my favorite restaurant?

I love South China Dim Sum on Long Street, Bao Down in Green Point, and La Petite Colombe in Franschhoek. Marble or Kolonaki Greek Kouzina in Johannesburg are both gems as well. I'm a sucker for Pasteis de Nata at the Oranjezicht Market or an almond croissant at Jason's Bakery. Beyond in Constantia is also next level, and I hosted my 40th birthday at the Chef's Warehouse at the Tintswalo Atlantic. Suffice to say, I live to eat, and don't eat to live.
